The Programme aims to develop industry-ready Accounting and Tax professionals by honing skills on in-demand tools and techniques and standard accounting practices. The programme provides a strong theoretical foundation to critical components like Financial Reporting, Goods and Services Tax (GST), Customs Procedure, Transfer Pricing Methods and issues in Cross Border Tax Compliance. The Programme is designed in line with the requirements of the National Education Policy (NEP) spanning across six semesters comprising of Major courses, Minor courses, Skill Enhancement Courses and Ability Enhancement Compulsory Courses, Internships and Project work and Value-Added Courses. The students who successfully complete one year (two semesters) with the required number of credits has an option to exit the Programme, they will be awarded a Certificate/. The Communication and Media, Psychology is a dual major undergraduate  programme aimed at equipping students with skills, knowledge, and attitude that enable them to aspire for leadership roles in the domain of media and communication. In the second semester, the core course on ‘Print Media Production’ will introduce students to the basic computer skills needed for print media, reporting and editing, along with basics of page layout, graphic design. The other key aim is to enable the student to pick up effective reporting, interviewing and editing skills meant for the print media. The skill enhancement course for the second semester ‘Strategic Storytelling’ hopes to enable the students to move beyond automated execution of media roles and responsibilities and creatively make an effective difference.

‘Broadcast Media’ is a core course in the third semester, which will provide students with hands-on training in producing and editing broadcast programmes. This course will help students get an insider’s view of radio and television media and introduce them to scriptwriting and anchoring.  The skill enhancement course for the semester – ‘Software for Media’ – will teach them the various aspects of design.

A course on ‘Social Media’, will introduce the students to the fast-emerging domain and equip them to understand the medium, its dynamics and produce media content for varied audience groups. ‘Reading Cinema’ is a skill enhancement course where the domain of cinema as an important media of communication would be analysed. The course will have screenings and interaction with members from the industry and enable stimulating discussions and learning. The learning from the ‘Strategic Storytelling’ and the ‘Broadcast Media’ courses will be utilized for interpreting films from a narrative and film-making perspective.

At the end of the second year, students will be required to do an internship in either print/radio/television/cinema/ social media and provide a detailed report of the same under a prescribed format.

NMIMS University admissions 2024 have started with the application process for NMIMS NMAT 2023 exam. To apply for courses of their choice, candidates have to go through a selection process. offers a wide range of regular, distance and part-time courses at the UG, PG and PhD levels. The University offers courses via its 17 constituent schools. Affiliated with the University of Mumbai, NMIMS Mumbai admission 2024 will be mostly entrance-based. The University conducts several entrance exams such as NPAT, NMIMS CET, NMIMS LAT, NMIMS RAT and NMIMS DAT for admission to UG, PG and PhD courses. Apart from these, the University also accepts the scores of several national-level entrance exams including UGC NET/ CSIR NET/ GATE/ NATA and JEE Main Paper-II, among others.

Scholarship at NMIMS Mumbai

NMIMS Mumbai students get a Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for economically weaker sections from General, SC, ST & physically handicapped categories. This scholarship is awarded on the basis of Senior Secondary Examination. Total number of scholarships has been divided amongst the State Education Boards based on the State’s population in the age group between 18-25 years. Students having above 80th percentile & with family income of less than INR 6 LPA will get INR 1000 per month at graduation level & INR 2000 per month at postgraduate level. Students pursuing professional courses will get INR 2000 per month in the 4th & 5 th year. The scholarship is paid for 10 months in an academic year.

A candidate applying for the BBA/BCA Program should have passed HSC (10+2) or equivalent an examination from any statutory board situated in India. The candidates who have appeared at the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply provided they complete their examination including practical Examinations and viva/assignments on or before the day of admission to the institute of their choice. Such candidates will have to produce a marks statement at the time of admission. The admission of the student will remain provisional until the other necessary certificates in original, are submitted to the institute. The last date to submit all the certificates (except the statement of marks) in original shall be, if certificates are not submitted by the said date or the eligibility is not granted, the admission would automatically stand canceled. Under no circumstances will an extension of the deadline be made. (ii) The candidate should be an Indian national.

● A candidate desirous of seeking admission to the BBA/BCA program should fulfill the minimum

eligibility condition as laid in (2) above.

● He/she must have appeared for the B-UMAT Test.

● The candidates shall be offered admission on the basis of his/her rank in the Combined BBA /

BCA merit list and availability of the seats for the program at a particular institute of the

candidates’ choice. The candidate has to mention the choice of institute in the application

form.

i) In the case of candidates securing an equal number of marks in the Entrance Test, candidates will be ranked according to their percentage of marks scored at SSC or its equivalent examination.

ii) When the marks scored in the entrance test, the percentage of marks at SSC are the same, candidates will be ranked on basis of computerized random numbering.

Evaluation Process

The examination for the online BBA at Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune will be conducted in online mode. The exam comprises Internal Assessment (IA) and University Examinations.
